I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
